| Silverhelme is set in 18 acres of limestone rocky woodland
with clearings. Situated north of Morecambe, Silverdale village is about 1 mile away. Railway Station is on the Barrow line, and 1/2 mile walk from the site. Camping - Camping areas are in Coppice woodland, suitable for small camps or Patrol camping, backwoods camping or Training. There is a large area for groups, camps or activities. Toilet blocks with hot showers. Mortimer Cabin - Modern building which will sleep 30 people, in rooms for 2 and 4. 24ft by 24ft room doubles for activities/dining. Kitchen has gas cooker, fridge/freezer, hot water boiler, crockery, utensils. Male & Female showers & toilets & fully equipped for the disabled including ramps and disabled toilet. Gas Central Heating throughout. The Den - Suitable for day use or sleeps six. Activities - Orienteering & Single Pitch Climbing available. Equipment available to qualified Leaders Leighton Moss R.S.P.B Reserve (half mile) Suitable for D. of E. overnight camps. |
