Low Mill, a converted water mill, is beautifully situated on the edge of the village of Askrigg, Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It was opened in 1976 to run courses for groups of young people of all ages and, in 1981, a Wing was added to accommodate groups with special needs, making the capacity of the centre 40 persons. Low Mill is a non-profit making Charitable Trust run by a Management Committee elected from local people. The centre is open for 52 weeks a year and runs midweek or weekend courses which are fully catered for and are inclusive of instruction and use of the equipment. The

Low Mill accommodates 40 persons, although smaller groups can be accommodated. The main activity area is upstairs with lovely views up and down dale. The main rooms are on two levels (with a lift). One is suitable for table tennis, games, dancing and the other for relaxing around a log fire. Also upstairs are the kitchen and dining areas.

There is a tuck shop with canned drinks, selection of sweets and snacks, and a selection of small souvenir gifts.
