Rose Youth is primarily a music education charity providing free
equipment, tuition and facilities to Children throughout the North Lancs
area. However, it is probably more widely known for the Red Rose,
Lancaster Brass Band as the band is seen performing up to 40 times a year
at concerts and events far and wide.
Volunteer tutors teach children from the age
of six to play a brass instrument which is provided, free of charge,
through the Red Rose Skills and Instrument Library. Later, as the
children progress, many of them join the fully independent and self
regulating brass band.
The group has its own purpose equipped
premises in Lancaster and features a well stocked resources library of
music related items which the children use both for their studies and
enjoyment.
