VISION & MISSION STATEMENTS AND STRATEGIC PRIORITIES AS APPROVED BY THE MEMBERS' AGM 2005

Our Vision - is a fair and open society which encourages, and is supported by, voluntary action, and which offers personal and social development for young people.

Our Mission - is to help voluntary youth services and groups to achieve the highest standards of practice and effectiveness.

Strategic Priorities (2005 - 2010)

1. to provide leadership in the voluntary youth sector, through partnership working, in tackling new issues and unmet needs, and give a shared voice to our members.

2. to cultivate an environment which fosters the development of voluntary youth groups and services, by working in partnership as part of an integrated service for children and young people.

3. to become recognised and respected as a provider of funded learning opportunities for volunteers and young people.

4. to achieve high organisational standards.
