The Boys Brigade is an outreach from the church into the local community.  We seek to bring outsiders into the fellowship and family of the church.

AIMS

The leadership of each unit is provided by its parent church. Training is given by the National organisation, help and encouragement is given by the established groups in the local area.  Our method provides a framework which can be operated by leaders of varying ability.

Our programmes are flexible and can be adapted to suit the local circumstances and our aim is to develop the Boy Spiritually, Physically, Socially and Educationally.  We are interested in taking the wholeness of Boyhood and channelling is into the fullness of Christian Manhood.  We believe that Jesus is the one unchangeable anchor in whom Boys can find security.

The local company works in 4 age groups:

·          Anchor Boys     From 5th or 6th birthday to 8 years
·          Juniors  8 to 11 years
·          Company Section 11 to 16 years
·          Seniors 16 to 18 years
·          A number of companies run an Amicus group for young men and women aged 14 to 22 years.
