We had previously announced that the target date for the closure of LCVYS would be 30 June 2008. 

We now appreciate - having consulted widely, including the Charity Commission and our Auditors – that things are never that simple!

Thus, on 30 June 2008, LCVYS will cease to operate in the form that we currently know it.  Our staff will be redundant from that day and we will vacate our offices in Guildhall House, Preston.  However personnel will be committed, after that date, to:

Ø           The winding-up of LCVYS both the Company Limited by Guarantee charity.

Ø           The conclusion of one specific piece of work.

 

LCVYS is the umbrella body for the wider voluntary youth sector in Lancashire.
